BASIC DRAWING
Learning to draw is a skill that improves with practice. In this
class, learn the basics of observing like an artist and translating
what is seen onto paper. Focusing on observation first enhances
drawing skills. Get ready for a challenging and fun experience.

COLORED PENCIL TECHNIQUES
Experiment with colored pencil and mixed media. Individual
instruction guides participants through projects of participants
own choosing as they explore the techniques and subject
matters that interest them. Learn to get rich color on paper with
a perfectly transportable medium. Supply list is distributed on
the first day of class. Materials are provided for the first class for
beginning participants. (6/5 classes)

CREATIVE CLAY: AIRDRY CERAMICS
This class is designed to provide an enjoyable, hands-on, artistic
experience that fosters creativity, social engagement, and
cognitive stimulation. Clay sculpting is a relaxing and rewarding
activity which allows an outlet for participants to express
themselves while improving fine motor skills and dexterity.
A $10 material fee for clay is due to the instructor at the
beginning of the first class. Supply list is given by instructor

FASCINATING WATERCOLOR TECHNIQUES
This class is for continuing watercolor students who have already
taken Deborah's watercolor class. Students learn more exciting
watercolor painting techniques. Subject matter ranges from
still life and landscape to abstraction and much more. *Some

FLUID ART PAINT POURING
Ready, set, pour! Come have some fun with this easy art form
for beginners and experienced artists! Acrylic paints are thinned,
layered, and poured onto canvas or glass to make one-of-a
kind creations. The possibilities are endless; and everyone is
successful! *Material fee of $20 cash/Venmo due to instructor
at the first class. Supply list to be provided before the first

WATERCOLOR
This class is for the participant with beginning watercolor
experience. Lessons presented add to the students’ skill base.
Various exciting watercolor techniques and subject matter are
explored. Participants are encouraged to work on individual
subject matter at any time. The instructor works closely with
students regarding the development of participant's own
style and direction in watercolor. The instructor presents many
examples of paintings by master watercolor artists to both

MIXED WATER MEDIA
Bring out creativity and join Otis Art Institute's "Teacher of the
Year" in this water media class that nurtures creativity. Participants
combine watercolor paints with other paints and materials.
Learn many techniques including making textures, collaging
with rice paper and pouring paint. A materials list is given on the
first class. Please bring a pencil, sketchpad and any watercolor
supplies to the first class. A $15 special materials fee is given
to the instructor at the first class. (6 classes) No class 9/23
