YOUNG ARTISTS

In this class students build essential drawing skills while exploring
styles from whimsical cartoons to artwork with depth and
dimensions. Each lesson teaches core techniques like line work,
shading, perspective, and composition using a variety of media-
markers, colored pencils, pastels, and watercolor. Students draw fun
and engaging subjects such as animals, landscapes, portraits, still life,
and historical figures, all while developing creativity and personal
expression. Each month also includes a spotlight on art history
connecting young artists to iconic styles and masters form around
the world.

CARTOON AND COMIC ART

This Cartoon Drawing class is the perfect blend of fun and learning
for kids who love to laugh and get creative! This season, students will
bring silly food faces, goofy nutcrackers, and party animals to life. Each
week, they'll build skills in facial expressions, storytelling and drawing
dynamic emotioons- all though imaginative, laughter-filled lessons.
It's a great way to boost confidence, strengthen artistic talent and keep
creativity flowing all season long.

DANCE AND MUSIC YOUTH
TINY TOT DANCE

Your child will learn basic fundamentals of dance. The dancers will
be learning a fun dance routine taught to music they love. We will
combine all the different dance styles such as tap, ballet, and jazz
to create their dance routine. Participants will need tap and ballet
shoes for class and a yoga mat. Participants must be enrolled in both
session 1 and 2 to participant in the Winter recital on December 7th.
No class Nov 29.

DANCE BEAST

Dancers will develop their self-confidence, social skills, body control,
gross motor skills, coordination skills, and performance skills in a friendly
team-focused environment. Performance: Downey Christmas Parade

POLYNESIAN DANCE / HULA
Instructor: Toni Stewart
Location: Barbara J. Riley Community and Senior Center
Fee: Resident: $40.00 | Non-resident: $44.00
Basic hula steps and arm movements will be taught so the dancers will
be able to perform the graceful hula of Hawaii. Learn and enjoy graceful
hand, arm and body movements of the hula set to the beautiful music
of the islands. The fast-paced Tahitian dance, poi balls (Maori), uli uli,
and pu'ili sticks will also be taught. Other costs may apply if student
participates in shows.

PUMP IT UP CHEER & DANCE
Instructor: Kidz Talent Academy

Get in the cheer spirit with our Cheer & Dance class! Cheerleaders will
learn the fundamentals cheerleading and performance dance! Learn
team building, choreography, cheer movements & jumps, small stunts,
basic tumbling and more with this fun and upbeat class!
Please wear a black KTA t-shirt (included in material fee), black shorts and
sneakers to each class. KTA Shirt will be provided by the second week of class.
A mandatory $40 material fee due on the first day of class, which
will include a KTA shirt and pom poms. For returning students, a
$5 material fee each session. A separate cheer uniform is optional,
however, required for any performances. No class Nov 27.

ACTING AND FILM PRODUCTION

In this exciting class, students will dive into the world of acting and
filmmaking while learning the fundamentals they need to pursue
their creative dreams. Throughout this course, students will gain
skills in memorizing lines, improvisation, on -camera acting and
understanding behind- the scenes- jobs. Participants will make a
short film in each class.
The film will be emailed to families after each session. Note: Material
fee of $20 is due on the first day of class. No class Nov 27.
