Sharpen your computer skills for report writing, homework, or
basic communication. This class will provide you useful tools to
get you ahead in school or at work. Students will receive hands-
on practice in Microsoft Word & Power Point to make publications
and turn in an awesome slide show presentation. All skill levels

CRITICAL READING

This course will help students strengthen their skills in critical
reading and writing, which is an essential analytical technique for
academic success. Students will learn to identify information and
ideas, as well as to bring outside knowledge, bias, and values in
order to properly analyze a given text. Students will learn how to
enhance their reading comprehension skills, strategies, and tools
used to do the written expression and mechanism. $10 supply fee
payable to instructor at first class.

structures, and learn to use verbs accurately in context. Special
emphasis is placed on listening and comprehension, helping you

context. Each lesson builds upon the last, reinforcing your skills
and ensuring steady improvement. Special emphasis is placed on

This fun sewing group welcomes all skill levels. Participants will learn
to use a manual sewing machine, to ones that are computerized.
They will learn to sew on buttons, zippers, hemming, to making
complete items like, bags, skirts, and more. $25 sewing essential
kit fee due to instructor at first class for new students.

CULINARY KIDS
7-week session | Instructor: Jovana Villegas
Location: Community Center Kitchen
Open hungry minds to the culinary world. This is a hands on
cooking class where kids will be taught different skills that will
result in delicious rewards. Students will learn how to cut, mix,
whisk, measure, and read recipes while they cook tasty treats with
fresh ingredients. A $30 supply fee will be collected at the first
class for new students. Students will receive their own supplies
to use in class and to take home.
