Get one-on-one instruction with highly motivated, friendly and well
trained instructors. Ideal for children and adults who want to master a
specific skill in an individualized setting. (Fridays Only)

WATER AEROBICS
Instructor: Aquatics Staff
Our water aerobics program provides an hour long workout session
for persons looking to improve their physical fitness and mobility.
Classes are user friendly to both swimmers and non-swimmers as the
majority of class takes place in the shallow end. Our coach is willing
to create modifications tailored to you to ensure that you are being
as challenged while enjoying the benefits of working out in the water.
Equipment will be provided. No classes 11/11, 11/25 & 11/27.

LIFEGUARD ACADEMY
Instructor: Aquatics Staff
This course is designed to provide qualified participants with
the certifications required for employment as a lifeguard. Upon
completion, graduates will receive American Red Cross certifications in
Lifeguard Training, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation for the Professional
Rescuer (CPR-PRO); Emergency Medical Response; Automated
External Defibrillation (AED); and Oxygen Administration for the
Professional. Course meetings include Saturday, Sunday, and Monday
8am-3pm. Prerequisite aquatic skills (300 yd swim, surface dive with
brick retrieval in 1min 40sec and treading water for two minutes with
hands in armpits) must be demonstrated prior to registration; Testing
provided free of charge, please call the William A. Wagner Aquatic
Center to sign up for a swim test, (760) 435-5370. PRIOR to attending
the first meeting date, a 23-hour online lesson portion must be
completed. You will need to email oceansidelifeguardtraining@gmail.
com once you are registered to confirm your email address so that we
may create a Red Cross account for you. No class 11/10.
