FOOD DISTRIBUTION PROGRAM
In collaboration with Second Harvest Food Bank and
Orange County Food Bank, fresh and non-perishable
food is provided at the Placentia Family Resource
Center. Food distributions are held the 1st and 3rd
Tuesday of the month and non-perishable items are
available daily on an emergency basis.
THANKSGIVING FOOD
DISTRIBUTION EVENT
Neighborhood Services will be distributing Thanksgiving
Food Baskets on Tuesday, November 25th. The distribution
will be at the Whitten Community Center located at 900
S. Melrose St. Placentia, CA 92870. The event begins at
2:00 p.m. until supplies last! For more information, please
contact our Neighborhood Services office.
LEAMOS
The City of Placentia, in collaboration with the Placentia
Library, provides free Spanish classes for native speakers.
These classes take place at the Whitten Community Center.
FREE ZUMBA
Get ready to bust a move with free Zumba classes hosted by
the City of Placentia and HIS-OC! Shake it off with Instructor
Sarai at the Whitten Community Center on 900 S. Melrose
St., Placentia, CA 92870. All are welcome to join the class.

COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS BASKET
PRE-REGISTRATION
The Community Christmas Basket event in Placentia
provides low-income families with the chance to select
two wrapped toys for their children during the holiday
season. Neighborhood Services is inviting families to
pre-register for the annual Community Christmas Basket
event. Registration will be open from Tuesday, October
14, 2025, to Tuesday, November 18, 2025. To sign up,
remember to bring a photo ID and a birth certificate
for each child in the family. Limited spots are available,
so pre-registration is required. Priority will be given to
Placentia residents and PYLUSD students. Registration
takes place at the Whitten Community Center, 900 S.
Melrose St., Placentia. For for information, please contact
