Youth ages 3 and 4 years participate in
youth sports
an organized, non-competitive sports
league aimed at developing basic
motor skills. Youth receive hands-on
experience while learning fundamentals,
developing healthy habits and the value of
sportsmanship.
PeeWee “Teamwork is key.”
Youth ages 5 and 6 have fun while learning
how to work together in a team sport. Youth
learn basic skills related to the sport. This
organized, non-competitive sports league
emphasizes the FUN in fundamentals and
TEAM in Teamwork.
Junior “Development for the future.”
Youth age 7 - 8 participate in a structured,
non-competitive sports league geared
toward developing sports knowledge for
future play. Participants not only develop
physical skills related to the sport, but also
gain knowledge of rules and plays that can
be carried over to the next level.
How to Register for a Youth Sports Program:
Sports League registration will be accepted online at RivReg.org and at all community
centers (for a listing of community centers, see page 2). Parents or guardians must submit:

Copy of birth verification (birth certificate or health insurance card with birth date).
A signed participant waiver, release, and indemnity agreement.
If participant is a provisional player, verification of grade level is required.
A signed Parents Code of Conduct Form.
Due to high demand and limited spacing, transfers or refunds will not be issued. Credits will be
issued if requested in writing two weeks before the first league game.
Teen Basketball League
AGES: 12 - 14 Fee: $91/Resident ($182/Non-Resident)
The City of Riverside Teen Basketball program is a competitive basketball league for ages 12 (going
into 7th grade) and 14 ( going into 8th grade and not turning 15 during the duration of the season).
Individual signs ups are available. Early registration is encouraged - space is limited. Games played
Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Playoff/Championship games will be played the weekend of
August 2nd at various community centers. Refunds will not be issued; credits may be issued
before June 16.

Middle School 12 -14 7th - 8th June 24 - August 7
Flag Football
AGES: 3 - 14
The Youth Flag Football program provides boys and girls ages 3 - 14 with an opportunity to learn
the fundamentals of football and the importance of working as a team. The program emphasizes
sportsmanship and promotes physical activity. Games played at Arlington Heights Sports Park
and California School for the Deaf. Refunds will not be issued; credits may be issued before
September 14.
Registration Date League Dates Now - Sept. 13
September 20 - November 8 (Div. A,B,C)
September 27 - November 1 (Tot, PeeWee and Junior)
(Games played on Saturdays and one weeknight during the season).
