The City of Placentia is turning 100 in 2026! The City
will officially turn 100 on December 2, 2026, and plans to
celebrate all year long in 2026 with centennial-themed
events, merchandise, a new City logo and updated
branding, community involvement, and a special birthday
party celebration in December 2026. In order to promote
community involvement and ensure we include unique
community events and programs for this celebration, Staff
established a Steering Committee comprised of individuals
from different City organizations, non-profits, and
recognized community groups.
The Committee is working hard to prepare recommendations
for programming, events, and other items associated with
the centennial celebrations. The City appreciates the
participation from our community, and we can't wait to
celebrate this special milestone with everyone in 2026. A
calendar of events and ways to get involved in the Centennial
Celebration (including sponsorship opportunities) can
be found on the City's website. Stay tuned on the City's
website at www.placentia.org/centennial and social media
for more information.
