GARDEN WORKSHOPS Ages 10+
Saturdays, 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

Location: Signal Hill Community Garden (1917 E. 21st Street.
Parking is located at the Signal Hill Public Library lot at 1800 E. Hill Street)
Join our gardening workshops to learn the basics of gardening and
how to enhance the beauty of your home gardens. This event is a free
program open to the public. No plot is needed. Please note that space
is limited.
MASTER ZUMBA CLASS All ages
Saturdays, 9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m.
September 6, October 4 & November 8
Location: Signal Hill Park
Join our fun, high-energy Zumba class for all ages! Whether you’re a
beginner or a seasoned dancer. It’s a great way to get fit, have fun, and
dance your way to a heathier you. No registration is required. In the
event of inclement weather, the Zumba class will be cancelled.

INTERESTED IN VOLUNTEERING?
Are you interested in volunteering with the City of Signal Hill? Email
comservices@cityofsignalhill.org to let us know you are interested
and one of our team members will reach out to about volunteer
opportunities with the City. You can also pick up a volunteer application
packet at Signal Hill Parks, Recreation and Library Services Office or the
Signal Hill Public Library front desk.

BEVERAGE REFRESHERS AGES 13+
Date: Tuesday, September 30, 6:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
Location: Library Learning Center
Are you a current Signal Hill Volunteer or interested in being a volunteer
for the City? We invite you to attend our quarterly volunteer social.
Find out more about the City’s volunteer programs and meet current
and hopeful volunteers. An instructor teaches attendees how to make
unique beverage refreshers for the fall and winter seasons. Join us to
learn a new skill, drink some refreshing beverages and connect with
other service-minded community members. Registration required.
