KANOPY VIDEO STREAMING
If you're interested in independent, international, classic,
or documentary films, you're in luck. Check out our newest
on-demand video streaming service. You can stream more
than 26,000 films from hundreds of famous producers, such
as The Criterion Collection and PBS, as well as thousands of
independent filmmakers. All you need is your Signal Hill Public
Library card and PIN.
World Book is an easy-to-use tool to help kids do online research. Children
can explore a wealth of subjects with articles, videos, reports, engaging
activities, and games. It is designed for Pre-K through 12th grade. All you
need is your Signal Hill Public Library card and PIN.

reading? Call us about eligibility requirements
and to learn more information about this
FREE tutoring service! The program does not
meet on school holidays or outside of Library
operating hours. Interested individuals must
meet eligibility requirements to participate.

Text-a-librarian at 562-284-2766 to renew

reference question! Text-a-Librarian is available
only during open library hours.

To download an e-Book, use your library card
and pin to sign on to Overdrive.
WIRELESS PRINTING
Wireless printing is available for all Signal Hill
Public Library cardholders. Send a print job
from your laptop or desktop computer at home
or from your mobile device while visiting us.

STUDY SPACE
Reading areas, tables, computers, and study
rooms are available on a first-come, first-served
basis to provide space for relaxing, researching,
studying, and enjoying Library materials. Study
rooms are first-come, first-served and can be
reserved up to a week in advance. Reservations
are for 2 hours. Study rooms close 15 minutes
prior to closing. Visit the Reference Desk with
your library card to reserve a study room or visit
our Library catalog.
INTER-LIBRARY LOAN
Patrons may request books and other materials
unavailable at the Signal Hill Public Library
through our Inter-Library Loan Program.
Patrons will be charged $3.00 per request.
LIBRARY SERVICES FOR PEOPLE
WITH PRINT DISABILITIES
California’s Library Services for People with
Print Disabilities, in association with the Library
of Congress, provides free Braille and audio
books, magazines and playback equipment to
all eligible Californians unable to read standard
print. Follow the California’s Library Services link
to find your local braille and talking book library
and sign up for free library service.
PUBLIC ACCESS COMPUTERS
Patrons wishing to utilize the computers must
possess a valid library card. Reservations are
available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Adults ages 18 and older may utilize a
computer for one hour per day with limited
additional time if no other patrons are
waiting.
Youths ages 10 to 17 may have internet
access with signed permission from a parent
or legal guardian.
Children ages 4 to 9 may have access to pre-
programmed educational games.
Children younger than 4 must have a parent
with them at all times while using the
computer.
Computer Print-out Fees: $0.20 per page in
black-and-white. $0.35 per page in color.
