JEWEL BOX CHILDREN’S
THEATER COMPANY WORKSHOP Grades 3 - 6
3rd Saturday of the Month, 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Location: Library Learning Center
Explore the magical world of theater at the Signal Hill Public Library.
Classes include theater games and music and serve as a great
introduction to theater, improvisation, and singing. No registration
required & no charge to participate.
BARK: READ TO DOGS
Ages 3+
1st Monday of the Month
5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Location: Library Children’s Area
BARK encourages children to increase their reading skills and self-
confidence by reading aloud to certified therapy dogs. Children will
love to read to these nonjudgmental, calming doggies. No registration
required & no charge to participate.
SENIOR DANCING FOR HEALTH Ages: 55+
Thursdays, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Location: Library Community Room
Join us for this fun-filled line dance class hosted by the United
Cambodian Community of Long Beach. Dancers will learn popular social
dances to join in the fun and show off their dance moves at parties and
other festivities. No registration required.
TWEEN & TEEN PROGRAMS
TWEEN DROP-IN PROGRAM TWEEN DROP-IN CLUB
Tuesdays, 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. | Grades 3 -5
Location: Library Learning Center
This space is designed for tweens in 3rd through 5th grade. Whether you enjoy
reading, playing video games, or simply hanging out, you are welcome here! Come
to meet friends, relax with a book, watch a movie, play games, and be creative.
Enjoy your time in this dedicated area. No registration required.
TEEN DROP-IN PROGRAM TEEN SOCIAL CLUB
Thursdays, 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. | Grades 6 - 9
Location: Library Learning Center
Whether you love to read, play video games, or simply hang out, this space is
dedicated to serving teens (grades 6th through 9th). Come and enjoy this area to
meet friends, relax with a book, learn a new hobby, play games and be creative. No
registration required.
