VOLUNTEERS
Volunteer opportunities are available for those
interested in volunteering their time to assist at
Julia McNeill Senior Center. The senior center
offers a variety of events and programs for
volunteer opportunities such as dances, bingo,
lunch program, breakfast and special events. If
you are interested, please call Ext. 323 or email
seniorcenter@baldwinpark.gov.
BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
The monthly Birthday Celebrations at the Julia
McNeill Senior Center are a great way to spend time
with friends and make new friends. The celebration
never disappoints with the variety of music groups
offered each month as active adults celebrate
their birthdays. Not to mention, complimentary
cupcakes provided for all participants.

HEALTH SCREENINGS
Alongside a healthy lifestyle and regular checkups,
screening tests offer people the best chance to
thrive at any age. The Julia McNeill Senior Center
recognizes this and offers a variety of health
screenings, in partnership with community
agencies. Some of the screenings include blood
pressure, glucose, hearing screenings, and so

BINGO
Soft bingo cards are $7 for 10 games. Daily
special games are also available for an additional
fee. Lunch is available from the YWCA of San
Gabriel Valley for a suggested $3 donation. Lunch
operates on a first come first serve basis or you
also have the option to bring your lunch.

RUMMAGE SALE
The Julia McNeill Senior Center, in partnership with
the Baldwin Park Senior Club, hosts a monthly
rummage sale, located in the patio between the
Community Center and Senior Center. Come find
some good deals and hidden treasures!

MOVIE DAY
Let’s enjoy a movie at the Julia McNeill
Entertainment Center. The Entertainment Center
features a large screen high-definition television
in a cozy setting. The movie selections range from
current blockbusters, comedies, romance, drama,
and classics. Come and check out the monthly
movie schedule.

EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS
Throughout each month the Julia McNeill Senior
Center offers a variety of educational workshops.

SOCIAL CLUBS
The Julia McNeill Senior Center is a place where
one can interact and experience various cultural
backgrounds.
SUPPORT GROUP
Learn to trust yourself more, discover alternatives
ways to resolve conflicts with relatives. Learn how
to be more independent and learn easily. How
to live without guilt and work with your internal
conflicts. Create specific plans to change certain
behaviors. This group was founded by Dr. Eduardo
Lopez Navarro and Facilitators are Esther Alanis and
Martha Flores.

SELF-SERVICE LIBRARY
The Julia McNeill Senior Center has a self-service
