VIVA LA VIDA: THE LIFE AND WORK
OF FRIDA KAHLO
Frida Kahlo’s passionate interest in the cultures of Mexico
served as a backdrop for her idiosyncratic and intensely
autobiographical body of work. Fueled by a series of tragedies
in her life, she created a series of complex and often disturbing
images of herself. Yet she also created lush, fantastic imagery in
her works, serving to create a powerfully complex personal style
that is one of the most original and dramatic of the 20th century.

WATER BIRDS
This geographical location, near the Pacific Ocean and many
lakes and waterways, contains many interesting birds that
prefer a habitat in or near the water. There are so many shore
birds and water birds that a program can be dedicated to them.
Kerry presents his photographs of many of these birds, as well as
information regarding the species.

WHISPERS OF THE AMAZON

photographing the Amazon Rainforest and Ecuador’s Yasuni
National Park. Scott Jones recently returned from two weeks
deep in the Amazon rainforest with an award-winning National
Geographic photographer. Join as he reveals through his
photography the beauty of elusive wildlife, and the indigenous
peoples of Ecuador. Explore off-the-beaten path areas of the
Mindo Cloud Forest, Quito, and the Amazon rainforest and
discover techniques for capturing the rainforest’s beauty,
amazing wildlife, and breathtaking biodiversity. Learn how light,
composition, and patience transform this unique environment
into stunning visual stories. This session also delves into the
role of ecotourism and conservation photography in preserving
ecosystems like the Nap River region, where indigenous
communities have revitalized biodiversity. Perfect for nature
