GRIEF & LOSS DISCUSSION/SUPPORT
GROUP
This group is facilitated by Foundation for Senior Services
specialists, Stefanie Elkins of Be Present Care and Louis (Buzz)
Brown of Spiritual Care Ministries. The group is designed as a
safe, respectful space where each individual's journey is honored,
and that there is no 'right' way to feel or to heal. Conversations
include topics such as “Combatting Depression and Loneliness”,
“Transforming Grief into Wisdom”, “Understanding the Grief
Indicators”, and “Honoring the Memories while Healing the
Heart”. Participants are invited to share their experiences at their
own pace, whether just beginning to process a loss or have been
living with it for years.

Weekly discussions are lively, thought provoking, and often deeply
moving, as varied texts lead readers down unexpected avenues,
bring back memories and inspire meaningful connections
with literature. Each week the instructor, a lifetime teacher of
literature, emails a new short story, essay, poem, scene from a
play, or other article of interest, to be discussed, analyzed, and
enjoyed at the next meeting. (7 classes) No class 9/22

WHAT’S ON YOUR MIND? LET’S TALK
ABOUT IT!

place to discuss everyday topics. From personal experiences to
