Fall Swim Lessons
New This Fall - Swim Lessons Are Expanding! Calabasas Tennis & Swim
Center is excited to announce the addition of swim lessons this fall.
Please note: Lessons are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Instructor preferences cannot be accommodated, and class level changes are subject to availability. To support the
best learning experience, staff kindly ask that parents wait outside the small pool gate during lesson times. To learn

LEVEL 1: BABY PUPS &
PARENT SEALS
6 MONTHS - 3 YEARS
This class helps children adjust to the water while introducing basic
swimming readiness skills. Parents receive water safety information
and learn hands-on techniques to support their child’s comfort and
confidence in the pool.

LEVEL 2: SEA HORSES
3 - 5 YEARS
This class introduces children to the water in a safe and supportive
environment. Participants learn basic aquatic skills while building
comfort and confidence around the pool. The class also promotes
positive attitudes and safe habits in and around water.

LEVEL 3: SEA TURTLES
4 - 6.5 YEARS
This class builds on the skills developed in the Sea Horse program,
helping students refine techniques through games, skill practice, and
engaging activities. It also reinforces and expands on water safety
concepts introduced in previous lessons. Prerequisites: successful
demonstration of the sea horse exit skills assessment.

LEVEL 4: STING RAYS
7 - 10 YEARS
This level builds on the skills developed in the Sea Turtle- class, helping
participants gain basic water competency in a larger pool setting. It
also enhances proficiency in the swimming strokes introduced in the
previous level.

LEVEL 5: BARRACUDAS
9 - 12 YEARS
This level is designed to help participants refine their technique in all
six swimming strokes: front crawl, back crawl, butterfly, breaststroke,
elementary backstroke, and sidestroke.

This course serves as a transition to swim team participation. It focuses
on refining stroke technique for improved efficiency and endurance
over longer distances. Participants also learn how to prevent aquatic
emergencies and practice essential self-rescue skills in a variety of water
environments. Prerequisites: successful demonstration of barracuda
class exit skills assessment.
