UPCOMING INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS
AT GRAND AVENUE AND LA PUENTE ROAD
The City of Walnut Public Works Department is excited to
announce much-needed intersection improvements at Grand
Avenue and La Puente Road, with construction set to begin in
September 2025.
The entire project is expected to take five months to complete
and will include significant upgrades to improve safety and traffic
flow in this busy area.
While we will do our best to limit lane closures, there will be times
when lanes are closed 24 hours a day, particularly during key
phases of the project. Impacts will also extend to Valley Boulevard
and Grand Avenue.
Please note that traffic speeds will be reduced in the construction
area to help protect drivers, pedestrians, and construction crews.
All businesses in the area will remain open during construction,
and we encourage residents to continue supporting them
throughout the project.
We understand these improvements may cause inconvenience
and delays, and we sincerely apologize for any disruptions. We
strongly encourage drivers to seek alternate routes whenever
possible and to plan extra travel time if passing through the area.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work to make
Walnut’s streets safer and more efficient for everyone.
